FAQ

Answers to some of your most burning questions.

LET's TALK ABOUT TRUCKS!

Package trucks are generally not recommended (everything you need is here!)
The studio has a ground floor drive-in loading bay, which can accommodate one standard 16 ft cube at a time. After unloading, we recommend moving cubes and panels to the parking lot to allow for other vehicles to come and go.
The loading bay can accommodate three cars.

PLEASE NOTE: Standard 16ft cubes DO NOT FIT under the studio awning. Please make sure your driver is aware. First time drivers, have someone help you back in.

DOES MY PRODUCTION NEED PRODUCTION INSURANCE?

Yes.
We request insurance certificates from all productions. Please email the document to info@sterlingstudio.ca in advance of your shoot. The certificates should be issued to:

Camerawork Productions Inc. 276 Sterling Road M6R 2B9 Toronto

HOW DO HOLDS WORK?

Give us a call or send us an email to enquire about placing a hold. If the Studio is available, we can proceed with either holding the studio for you or booking your team’s production. Prior to your shoot date, we require insurance documents as well as a 50% deposit of your total reservation.

If the date you are looking for is being held by another production and you would like to book - we will give the first holder approx. 24hrs to book or release. Once you push another hold - you are Confirming your Booking and potentially liable for cancellation fee.

WE NEED TO CANCEL. NOW WHAT?

If the unfortunate circumstance of cancelling a booking occurs within 5 business days of the scheduled rental or pick-up of equipment, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations within less than 48 hours are responsible for the full rental value including any equipment rentals.

OOPS...OUR production broke something, what now? What about big messes?

Some shoots really need feathers, chickens, and chocolate all at the same time and all over the place. We get that. An extra $150 clean-up fee will be charged if your production leaves behind an above average mess. ie. confetti, fake snow, feathers, chocolate, most explosions, free roaming farm animals, etc.
Productions are financially responsible for any damage caused to the space or gear.

WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THE GARBAGE?

We will handle your household waste. Any art department or production waste should be taken with you. The studio should be left the way it was found. Please empty garbages, remove tape, return furniture and do a light sweep.
We encourage all productions to compost and recycle, bins are available on site.

HOW CAN WE PAY?

We accept payment in the form of cheque or electronic transfer within 30 days of your shoot date. Cheques can be made out to Camerawork Productions Inc. Credit card payments are available with a 3% surcharge.
